Roadtrip India in a 100 year old vintage car was incredible! Not what I had envisioned. It was WAYYYY better! I wish I had a teleporting wand to beam me back there; but alas, weaving my stories into my handwoven blankets is the next best thing!  Btw.. let me know what you think the colour is. The colours of where?  In my weaving, colour is my travel journal.  My on-the-road written journal from our travels driving our vintage car Penny, through India, Bhutan and Myanmar; with my Studio Journal ONE from this series; focussing on my journal for my current series of blankets - available now. I’m a weaver. What are these for?  Discovering these in my cupboard and using them for this was a game changer for my warping! They make it so easy so I don’t have to fuss with tying knots. I just slip them on! Here I use something similar to the item I used ice-climbing a volcano in Chile: but not as heavy duty!  Often in my weaving I use items which suit just perfectly the purpose I need them for; but weren’t originally intended for that specific use.  Love it when I do that! Hope this pro-tip helps all you innovative weavers! Know a weaver who struggles warping on their own? They may hug you for this one! Do what you love… 12 seconds here of focus and rhythm, where you can just watch and breathe; watch me doing what I love. Focus and rhythm. Repetition and movement. Calming the chaos.  I’m craving quiet and connection. The ritual of weaving in my studio is healing for me. It is necessary. I love weaving. The bonus of my choice to find expression and connection and to share my stories through my hands is that wonderful blankets are woven.
