Welcome to my blog site and my trip in September 2010. I offer here my experiences, with the intention that my sharing of my wonderfully rich life can in some way enrich your life as well.
September 2010
I wanted to feel the spaces of the desert…. but didn’t get very far off the bitumen!
I didn’t want to wreck the roads any more, and I had another 30km to go across a flood plain! NO WAY!
Amazing view with changing light.
Such an amazing spot to be stuck!
A hidden waterfall was such a treat to find on the Blackdown Tableland.
Excitement under the waterfall!! I just had a bit of a play with my camera.
Blackdown Tableland National Park Campground. I’m not a fan of camping in designated spaces. I prefer the gravel pits beside the road or out in places just where I can find a spot. Making sure I leave nothing but tyre tracks and footprints is a priority for me when I travel, and even ensuring that my own solid toilet waste is carried off site because there is a chemical free toilet in the camper!. I get really annoyed when I see toilet paper beside the road after girls have had a wee beside the road. There is no excuse not to put the toilet paper in a zip lock bag to be disposed of properly later.
Swimming in the waterholes was so much fun!!!
