Power Grid

Power-Grid-1024x810

Aeons ago

reaching for the sunlight

then falling into darkness

being compressed by sand and stone;

its slumber awakened by explosions

and the ground cut open

and dragged into furnaces

and burned

to then travel

reaching in the sunlight

along lines in the sky

sketched by

architects of future worlds

aeons ago.

Julie Stephenson

Tuesday afternoon I went for my first walk in 2 weeks because the air on my lip was so uncomfortable I chose to stay inside. Walking outside again felt so liberating!!! I looked up to the sky and saw these power lines and used my iPhone to take these photos. I processed them in accordance with the words which came to me when I looked at the photos in colour.

If you want to see more detail in each of the images, just click on the image of the ‘Power Grid’ above, and then click again a couple more times and it will enlarge a bit more so you can see a bit more clearly each of the photographs in the grid – (but not separately).

About the Author: Julie
I am a Journeywoman. I live my life as an explorer. An adventurer. An Observer. An Artist. There is no differentiation between how I live my life and the art that is an expression of it. It is through my experience adventuring the unknown, that I learn more about myself. My aim through this connection is to live where my expression is fully in alignment with the essence of who I am. “In the field of Fine-Art Photography, Julie stands apart from others with the way she sees the world and expresses her connection within it. Julie Stephenson’s photographs are sublime. Her work is an expression of her deep connection; and a gift to the world.”
