Bunurrunha – Mt Bruce

Bunurrunha

Back-tracking a bit to Karijini here because I couldn’t upload galleries from my iPhone before now.

Bunurrunha is a Sacred men’s site used by the Traditional Custodians of this land, and we were mindful of this during our walk.  I could feel the power of this mountain and it was with respect that we walked up it.

Max and I set our alarm for an hour before sunrise to drive and have brekky at the base on Bunurrunha so we didn’t walk the 5 hour; 9 1/2km path; 1165mts high climb in the heat of the middle of the day. It started out incredibly windy and then became very hot, but apart from being a little challenging at times – was a spectacular walk with breathtaking views to the landscape around and the Marandoo Iron Ore mine to the south.

Have a look at the gallery of happy snaps so you can have an idea of the beauty and strength of Bunurrunha.

About the Author: Julie
I am a Journeywoman. I live my life as an explorer. An adventurer. An Observer. An Artist. There is no differentiation between how I live my life and the art that is an expression of it. It is through my experience adventuring the unknown, that I learn more about myself. My aim through this connection is to live where my expression is fully in alignment with the essence of who I am. “In the field of Fine-Art Photography, Julie stands apart from others with the way she sees the world and expresses her connection within it. Julie Stephenson’s photographs are sublime. Her work is an expression of her deep connection; and a gift to the world.”
