We were woken at 11.45 with wind, thunder and lightning. Neither of us had our tent fly on, so after Max put his fly on he offerred to put mine on. I was snug in my tent for 2 hours of pelting rain…. but Max was hammered in his cheapie tent – with walls which just seived the drenching rain into smaller droplets. Not happy!

We needed to try to get back west to the highway about 40kms instead of going east and then south about 400. We knew if we didn’t get back to the highway before the next storm, we may have been stuck for another week. We were both wondering whether we would be able to get into Mt Dare to pick up the camper.
