This was a fantastic walk under a waterfall on the Canyon View walk at Springbrook….. taken with my iPhone. I must confess I had little visions of it being warmer and whipping my clothes off and having a play! … a place to remember in Summer. 🙂
About the Author: Julie
I am a Journeywoman. I live my life as an explorer. An adventurer. An Observer. An Artist.
There is no differentiation between how I live my life and the art that is an expression of it.
It is through my experience adventuring the unknown, that I learn more about myself. My aim through this connection is to live where my expression is fully in alignment with the essence of who I am.
“In the field of Fine-Art Photography, Julie stands apart from others with the way she sees the world and expresses her connection within it.
Julie Stephenson’s photographs are sublime. Her work is an expression of her deep connection; and a gift to the world.”

Life goes fast; with curveballs; and accompanying that for me has been a reflection of my life and the memory of the lyrics of Pink Floyd’s ‘Time’; a song I grew up with.
I am so grateful to have experienced so much living, and recalling this song recently has reminded me that despite some life challenges; I still must not fritter a single second of my life away.
There has been a time where we haven’t been able to travel and experience the world and myself as I would have liked, but there are other ways that I can ensure I don’t waste my time alive!
I am a creator. A teacher. A storyteller. A traveller. A photographer. A weaver. A knitter. A maker. I need to keep creating. Celebrating my life is still as important now as it was a few years ago!
So, I quietly reflect. With gratitude.

The door has shut; want quiet, no traffic, don’t want to talk to anyone and just stay home and do the things you want to do; like spinning, weaving, knitting, crafting; but feel like you should be getting dressed out of your pj’s, and going out to at least have a coffee???
You could role play like I did. Lol you can save this as a reminder that you don’t have to go out today at all!!! Follow to see my next studio ‘outing’.
One can never be overdressed wherever you are! Pop on your bling and do your thing!
So it’s all sorted then? Welcome!

Oops. Save this as a reminder if you ever accidentally missed some slots threading your reed; that it’s only a little oopsie. No biggie!
It’s an easy fix as long as you find the perfect weight to keep the replaced threads the same tension as the rest of the warp.
Always surprises here in my studio. Need a bit more of that? Come join in!

Ever been stuck knowing where to start a project. ‘What I saw’ is often a good place to start.
Your journeys can be wonderful source material for your projects. Save this as a reminder for your own weaving and if you’re just visiting my space here, come follow along to see what I weave from my journeys.
This blanket I’ve woven was inspired by a road trip driving our 100 year old vintage Vauxhall from Bangkok to London. We broke down in Kyrgyzstan after driving rough Tibet for a month; but that’s another story!
