The choices we make; make us.

Yep… we make choices every second of every day, and each one of those choices leads us along a path of experience; self-discovery; learning; and at times destruction and a place we would rather not be.

All of my previous choices have led me to where I am right now…. and you too!

All of my choices have actually MADE ME!… ALL of my choices have enabled me to experience love, laughter and tears. ALL of my choices have given me an opportunity to formulate my philosophy; my life circumstances; my way of being and experiencing the world.

I have chosen paths which have led me to flourish..and others which have led me to falter… and regardless… ALL have contributed to MAKING ME!

Some of my choices; or forks in the road have come with warning signs. Sometimes I have not taken heed of those warning signs and endured the consequences. I’m sure at times you too have been given warnings and the path you have chosen has led you to a place you too would rather not be.

I have been learning that regardless of one’s ‘passion; commitment; or even innate desire’ for something; it is vitally important to be aware and have courage to be true to oneself – so that the choices made are not made in blindness and without awareness. Road blocks can be easily misinterpreted as ‘challenges’; when ultimately the Universal principles are based on ‘flow’ – not resistance. The barrier and warning sign of “cliff-face fall risk” is actually there for a reason. To discount it is at ones own risk and peril.

Recently I have chosen a path whereby the past 2 weeks my life has been one of flow.. where one thing has opened to another and I am truly finding my way and flourishing in finding a path which is meaningful, fulfilling and quite exciting!

My CHOICES have MADE me…. and are making me each moment. Where have YOUR choices led you? How can you make choices with greater awareness of the road blocks; and make ones which are more in alignment with the essence of who you are and true to yourself in all honesty? That is life’s journey hey! 🙂

About the Author: Julie
I am a Journeywoman. I live my life as an explorer. An adventurer. An Observer. An Artist. There is no differentiation between how I live my life and the art that is an expression of it. It is through my experience adventuring the unknown, that I learn more about myself. My aim through this connection is to live where my expression is fully in alignment with the essence of who I am. “In the field of Fine-Art Photography, Julie stands apart from others with the way she sees the world and expresses her connection within it. Julie Stephenson’s photographs are sublime. Her work is an expression of her deep connection; and a gift to the world.”

You only need two strips, and it’s best they are really thin, and the sharp edges mitred or lightly sanded (even with an emery board) to ensure that the yarn isn’t abraded. I then weave a small section of woven header which will be removed as the weaving is taken from the loom.

I am so grateful to have experienced so much living, and recalling this song recently has reminded me that despite some life challenges; I still must not fritter a single second of my life away.

There has been a time where we haven’t been able to travel and experience the world and myself as I would have liked, but there are other ways that I can ensure I don’t waste my time alive!

I am a creator. A teacher. A storyteller. A traveller. A photographer. A weaver. A knitter. A maker. I need to keep creating. Celebrating my life is still as important now as it was a few years ago!

The door has shut; want quiet, no traffic, don’t want to talk to anyone and just stay home and do the things you want to do; like spinning, weaving, knitting, crafting; but feel like you should be getting dressed out of your pj’s, and going out to at least have a coffee???

You could role play like I did. Lol you can save this as a reminder that you don’t have to go out today at all!!! Follow to see my next studio ‘outing’.

One can never be overdressed wherever you are! Pop on your bling and do your thing!
So it’s all sorted then? Welcome!

Oops. Save this as a reminder if you ever accidentally missed some slots threading your reed; that it’s only a little oopsie. No biggie!

It’s an easy fix as long as you find the perfect weight to keep the replaced threads the same tension as the rest of the warp.

Always surprises here in my studio. Need a bit more of that? Come join in!
