I was asked at an artist talk which I presented recently how I came up with all my ideas. I think what is really important for me is play.

There are many different aspects of play in my life. Laughing and having fun with my husband, boys and friends, and then there is playing through exploration of subject matter, location, equipment and settings. I’m always exploring a new way to look and think about things, and I continue to do this through the lens by experimentation.

A lot of the time the images are duds, but every now and then a gem appears, and something in my belly knows I have touched on something which deserves further exploration.
