Fred Williams is one of Australia’s most important artists. I love his work !!! Max and I came across the retrospective exhibition “Infinite Horizons” at the National Gallery in Canberra last year… and I was so moved by this amazing exhibition, I flew down to Canberra a month later to see the exhibition again. I agree completely, Fred Williams’ exhibition at the NGA was the first retrospective I had ever seen, was not really interested in artists until then to be honest…his work is extraordinary and he got the australian landscape better than anyone I have ever seen, I have travelled thru most of it and he nails it, I am so glad his art is now being seen again by a new generation, many thanks for showing one of his masterpieces 🙂

Hi Kim,Yes his work is extraordinary. I am hoping (and plans are in the early stage) – to extensively photograph the area which he painted. I’m keen to see how I portray the area. His work has truly inspired me and made a difference in my life also.
