Mountains and moisture!!!

The landscape in Iceland is spectacular! There is always a remarkable geological feature in view….. and we have found there is also a lot of moisture… whether it be in the form of clouds; mist; ocean or moisture running out from the ground in either raging waterfalls or trickling streams.

Iceland has on average a 79% chance of precipitation on any given day… so that means a lot of cloudy misty and showery days! We have experienced about the average which has provided an opportunity for me to experience the landscape in a more mysterious way than if the geological features were exposed in full sunlight.
