Tick Drips
Tock Drops
Patiently
Frozen water from millennia past
feels the breath from long days of light
and the licking of the warmer ocean
as it floats
glowing patiently
encapsulated by fog obscured mountains
floating patiently
with marks and angular scars and pitted surface, exposing a different time and place
until its balance is changed
cracking and groaning and rolling
and from the eruption of surging splash
exposes another time,
carried by currents and wind and stillness
waiting patiently
as the lapping of the clear blue sea
sculpts new angular scars – a new plimsoll line of equilibrium
where radiance suspends
above the fulcrum of reflection
and slowly melts
patiently
Tick Drip
Tock Drop.
